about this poster

Cirque de Gavarnie poster, hiker facing the waterfall

The Cirque de Gavarnie raises its immense wall of mountain, where a tall waterfall tumbles down. Seen from behind, a hiker walks along the trail leading toward it, tiny against the rock face. This Gavarnie poster, in landscape format, captures the sheer scale of this Pyrenean site and the joy of walking toward a grand destination. The drawing follows the style of illustrated travel posters, with rock grays, alpine pasture greens and the white of the water. The title “GAVARNIE” accompanies the landscape.

The grand Pyrenees above a sofa

In landscape orientation, it fits above a sofa, a bed or a desk. Its grays and greens pair well with raw wood, wool, stone and the natural tones of a chalet or mountain home. It makes a lovely set with other Pyrenees or hiking posters. A gift for a hiker, a family from the Hautes-Pyrénées, a mountain lover or friends who made the walk to the foot of the waterfall.

Choosing the size and the spot

Measure the space available on your wall, allowing for the frame you want to use. Then compare the sizes offered on this page and check the orientation of the artwork.

For a set of several posters, also plan the gaps between the frames. Keep your decor away from water splashes and heat sources.
