Sicilian market with lemons, oranges and flowers poster

Sicily poster, citrus market in front of a Baroque church

Crates overflow with fresh lemons and oranges at this Sicilian street market, set between buckets of colorful flowers. In the background rises the facade of a Baroque church, along with a palm tree. This vertical poster captures the abundance and bustle of a southern market, where colors jostle for attention. The yellow and orange of the citrus, the vivid hues of the flowers and the warm stone of the church make a lively, sunny scene. The title “SICILIA,” the Italian name for Sicily, accompanies this image.

A Sicily poster for the kitchen or dining room

Its warm colors brighten a kitchen, a dining room, an entryway or a delicatessen. The vertical format fits nicely above a sideboard, beside a table or in a hallway. It echoes terracotta, painted ceramics, wood and market baskets. Paired with other posters of Italy or citrus, it makes a Mediterranean wall. It would make a lovely gift for a family of Sicilian origin, an Italy lover, a greengrocer or travelers who have wandered through the markets of Palermo or Catania.
